Letter from the Editor

Wow, has it already been a year?!

It feels like just a few weeks ago I was begging our producer, John, to let me take over the site.

I’d become involved in the show while working at Safe Sex Inc., a local youth organization where we educated our peers about the importance of safe sexual activity. We were invited to the show John did on pregnancy (this one). A few of us stood out and he invited us back. Finally, I was asked to co-host. I hated being on television but I knew it could be a great thing on a resume for a future journalist. So we set out to make the show better, and in the year since I’ve joined we’ve gotten a new co-host (our beautiful Jordanae), expanded our following, and even managed to become the featured blog for Tavis Smiley!

This year has been full of some amazing successes and we are very thankful to all of you who stopped by for more than an hour, or even for a few seconds. We hope you’ll be back and we hope next time you’ll work with us to get youth the resources they need to make their voices heard in this community.

If you’d like to blog with us, please click here. We have no age limit! We just ask that you talk about a youth issue. Maybe you reminisce about your teen years, or speculate about what they will be like.

For monetary and time donations please email: participate@talkback4teens.com.

Thank you.

xoxo, Tianna
