Episode 1.0 Bullying “How do you get to the empathy?”

Episode 1.0 is about Bullying; teens discuss what it was like to be a bully, why they did it and how they felt after and how they feel now; one teen discusses how she was bullied and physically harmed when she was very young.

TALKBACK4Teens is a show where teens can talk about topics that are important to them. We are coming to you from public access television in New York: Television that means something.  So much of what we see on TV and on the web is mindless, irrelevant (what passes for) entertainment, often insulting to our personhood, sensibilities, and/or intelligence.  If you are a teen, join the discussion here, start or join a thread, your input will impact other episodes when we revisit this topic.

“You can’t handle the truth!” — Jack Nicholson

“If this is the way Her Majesty treats her prisoners, she doesn’t deserve to have any.” — Oscar Wilde

Do you have something to say about it? We hope you will watch and consider; perhaps you will encounter issues like the topic you see being discussed; we hope you will join the discussion; if confronted with a problem, we hope you will act proactively and rationally rather than reacting emotionally. If you are a parent or teacher or school administrator, watch, consider, and learn from teens; you may also use our shows in your health curriculum by topic, with permission.

We are a show and website dedicated to youth: the issues we face and the goals youth have accomplished. The show is all about their obstacles; how commonplace they are, and how other teens have overcome them. The counterpart site/Twitter/Facebook is all about uplifting youth. We offer a blog that will focus on one topic every week and offer advice through it. We also hope to soon incorporate youth work on it. We would love to showcase your work: your writings, art, and anything else you're proud of! Our twitter is all about motivating you; so that you end everyday the best possible you!
